About the role
- As our System Development Manager & Technology Leader, you'll provide both technical and people leadership while helping shape the future of software development at Advantage DataSystems.
- Report directly to the IT Director and work closely with leadership across the organization.
Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of six software developers.
- Manage the software development roadmap, priorities, and delivery commitments.
- Partner with business leaders to translate operational needs into practical technology solutions.
- Balance new development, production support, and continuous improvement initiatives while ensuring priorities remain aligned with business needs.
- Lead the resolution of production issues by supporting root-cause analysis and driving continuous improvements to system reliability.

Requirements
- 10+ years of software development experience.
- 5+ years leading software development teams.
- Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle, including requirements, design, development, testing, deployment, support, and continuous improvement.
- Proven experience delivering business-critical applications, enterprise systems, or other operational software solutions.
- Experience managing multiple technology priorities while consistently delivering results.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively with business leaders, operations teams, IT staff, vendors, and end users.
