About the role
- The Quality Assurance (QA) Manager, along with the Quality Control team, is responsible for the implementation and maintenance of systems supporting quality, operational, and commercial initiatives.
- This is an on-site role located in Sioux Falls, SD.
- Evaluate training programs and standardize them around the POET network.
Responsibilities
- Own the management of the POET Quality Management System and Manual updates.
- Coordinate Quality related system and document integration for POET, including Bioprocessing facilities.
- Manage and troubleshoot situations relating to quality systems, training, and documentation across the POET network.
- Prioritize your schedule in order to engage in cross-functional activities to support the business.
- Manage quality-related information requests from all parts of the POET network.
- Create and edit Quality policies that are robust, accessible, and current.
- Standardize and maintain document templates.
- Stay acquainted with quality-facing programs, processes, and environments within POET and potential 3rd party partners.
- Develop and manage Quality Metrics and lead benchmarking efforts requiring Quality-based analytical data.
- Support Deviation/CAPA resolution as needed.
Requirements
- 5 years' experience with Quality programs, certification structures, system and program deployments, and FDA regulated environments.
- Interpersonal skills - the ability to effectively interact with individuals at all levels within/outside the organization
- The ability to embrace and promote change
- The ability to work in a team environment
- At times overnight travel may be required.
- 5 or more years of people, project, or program management experience.
- Organizational and time management skills
- A high level of personal integrity
- Demonstrated problem-solving and critical thinking skills
- Some travel will be part of the norm for this position to visit the bioprocessing facilities, for meetings, and site visits. At times overnight travel may be required.
- The work environment at POET is dynamic. You should expect a balance between time spent in the office and at the bioprocessing facility, which may include some physical labor helping your team members.
Nice to have
- Bachelor's degree or greater in relevant field, sciences preferred.
- Experience in an operating plant environment such as grain processing, food processing, or chemical processing is preferred.
