About the role
- As a Lead Security Officer with Cologix you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day physical security operations of the data center facility, ensuring the safety of personnel, customers, visitors, and critical infrastructure.
- This role will lead on-site security staff, enforce security policies and procedures, and serve as the primary point of contact during security incidents or emergencies.
Responsibilities
- Create new access badges and access level changes within the system upon approval
- Investigate incidents, document findings, and prepare detailed incident reports
- Maintain compliance with data center security standards (SOC, ISO, customer requirements)
- Support customer security requests, audits, and access needs in a professional manner
- Maintain accurate security logs, access records, and documentation
- Actively participating in Cologix's efforts to maintain and improve information security and environmental performance.
Requirements
- Minimum 2-5 years of security experience, preferably in a critical infrastructure environment
- Ability to remain calm and decisive under pressure
- Experience with access control systems and video management systems
- Familiarity with compliance standards (SOC 2, ISO 27001, etc.)
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. occasionally
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying conditions
- must be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays

- About the Position: As a Lead Security Officer with Cologix you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day physical security operations of the data center facility, ensuring the safety of personnel, customers, visitors, and critical infrastructure.
- What you do daily:
- Monitoring of physical access points, camera/access control systems, and alarms associated with all systems including, VMS, ACS, BMS, and the FACP
- Enforce all access control procedures for employees, contractors, vendors, and visitors
- Review and verify the patrol documentation completed during each shift
- Verify badges, credentials, and visitor authorizations are accurate and updated upon approval
- Assist with incoming/outgoing deliveries, including customer package documentation
