  • As the Engineering Manager, App Technology, you will:

Responsibilities

  • With a Global Support Campus in Vancouver and additional Support Office hubs in major cities across North America - including Toronto, New York, Los Angeles and Seattle - our workplace network is strategically designed to support our People and serve our Clients a frictionless experience.
  • As an Engineering Manager, App Technology, you will play a pivotal role in leading the design, development, and implementation of technology solutions for Aritzia's Mobile App.
  • This role will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including Digital Product Management, Digital Design, Omni, Enterprise Technology, Data & Analytics, and Marketing.
  • Directly manage a squad of developers and QA engineers, providing mentorship, career development, and performance management, ensuring the squad consistently delivers high quality work
  • Build a collaborative team culture through participating in hiring decisions, onboarding new team members, and creating individual development plans

Requirements

  • Strong proficiency in React Native, experience with modern JavaScript/TypeScript, and integrations with eCommerce-specific challenges (catalogs, search, cart, checkout flows)
  • Working knowledge of backend technologies (Node.js, APIs, databases) to guide architecture and review code
  • Experience with commerce platforms (Salesforce Commerce Cloud)
  • Familiarity with payment integrations, inventory management, SEO, and customer experience optimization
  • Knowledge of app performance optimization and conversion rate principles

Skills

  • Proven and best-in-class skills in React Native app development, as well as experience leading and overseeing developers & QA/QE/SDET
  • Excellent communication skills to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders and make decisions under pressure

Compensation

  • At Aritzia, we provide market-leading compensation packages designed to reward impact through our pay-for-performance philosophy.
  • The range for roles at this level is $100,000 - $300,000 USD per year.
  • Total compensation may include base, bonus and/or equity depending on the role, which has the potential to be greater than this range.
