Responsibilities

  • Design and build native Android applications for robot data annotation, dataset review, and experiment tracking in the field.
  • Build fast, reliable mobile experiences for real-time and near-real-time data capture alongside live robot operation.
  • Utilize data-driven techniques to optimize interfaces for efficiency and fast iteration cycles.
  • Work closely with AI researchers, robot operators, and annotators to support new mobile-first user experiences.
  • Partner with our web tooling team to ensure consistent data models and workflows across mobile and web surfaces.
  • Figure is an AI Robotics company developing a general purpose humanoid.
  • Our humanoid robot is designed for commercial tasks and the home.
  • It's time to build.
  • The ideal candidate has deep experience building rich, performant native Android applications and wants their tools used daily by researchers, robot operators, and annotators.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Robotics, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in Kotlin and/or Java, and the modern Android toolchain (Jetpack Compose, Android SDK/NDK).

Nice to have

  • Experience integrating with data stores (Postgres, MySQL, ElasticSearch, Redis, etc.).
  • Experience managing cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Experience with React/TypeScript or other web frontend frameworks, for close collaboration with web tooling counterparts.
