Responsibilities
- Ability to present sophisticated technical information in a concise manner to key partners.
- Expatriate tax and social security expertise and consultation on complex transactions to assignee and business partners including policy consultation and exception management.
- Governance of tax technical positions on tax return filing and provide governance, guidelines and recommendations on Global Mobility tax compliance matters to a wide range of partners.

- As the Principal, Global Mobility Tax, Americas you will be an integral part of the quickly evolving Americas HR Services, Operations & Analytics team, driving an integrated HR agenda for the function and the business.
- You will play a key role in activating a comprehensive and integrated compliance offense in service of Nike's strategy across compensation, benefits, retirement and equity programs throughout the Americas region. You will draw on your tax expertise to provide guidance and support for all aspects of global mobility tax compliance for Nike HR. Together, the HR Tax Compliance team will create and maintain a proactive, sustainable model of operational risk management across the globe.

- You will play a key role in activating a comprehensive and integrated compliance offense in service of Nike's strategy across compensation, benefits, retirement and equity programs throughout the Americas region.
- You will draw on your tax expertise to provide guidance and support for all aspects of global mobility tax compliance for Nike HR.
- Together, the HR Tax Compliance team will create and maintain a proactive, sustainable model of operational risk management across the globe.
- 9-10 years of relevant work experience including a minimum of 7+ years in Global Mobility Tax or Employment Tax.
- Demonstrated experience managing expatriate tax or global mobility tax programs, including tax equalization, shadow payroll, hypothetical tax calculations, and vendor oversight.
- Experience interacting with federal, state, and international tax authorities during audits, inquiries, assessments, and compliance reviews.
- Exposure to broader HR compliance matters is a plus.
- Ability to network, influence and use internal and external resources.
- Experience working in a matrix environment with ambitious and dotted line reporting.
- Ability to offer appropriate solutions that balance business needs and compliance.
- In this role, it will be essential to be a trusted technical tax adviser to multiple HR functional teams.
- It will be equally as important to develop a deep understanding of our internal operating processes and systems to drive compliance initiatives cross-functionally for continuous response to regulatory changes.
- Support the Global Mobility Tax program including vendor management, review and accountability for tax return filings and tax equalization calculations, management of tax payments and tax equalization calculation settlements for assignments and trailing income including equity compliance.
- Continuously assess legislative developments to ensure internal processes remain current.
