About the role
- ETAP is seeking a Power System Engineer to expand our capabilities in the Data Exchange Department.
- The ideal candidate would be an experienced electric utility engineer or electrical consulting engineer looking to apply his or her power system engineering skills to the rapidly growing ETAP distribution market as well as data transferring solutions.
Responsibilities
- Utilize standard engineering and mathematical concepts and principles in the design, coding, and testing of software components
- Provide client support and technical issue resolution via E-Mail and phone to identify, correct, or advise on technical issues.
- 1.5+ years' experience in the design and/or operations of electric utility transmission and distribution systems

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering with power systems emphasis
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in California, or ability to obtain same
Nice to have
- Proficiency in modeling for transmission and distribution power systems
- Provide training and knowledge transfer
- Familiarity and working knowledge of power system analysis and simulation
- Experience in power system analysis software such as Revit, AutoCAD, ETAP, SKM, EMTP-RV, PSCAD, CYME, PSLF
- Knowledge of GIS, MEP, CAD
- Strong written and verbal communications skills, including ability to write clear and detailed technical reports
- Ability to adjust to multiple tasks/projects
- U.S. Citizenship or permanent residency/work authorization
Skills
- Experience using AI tools and programming to automate integration workflows
- Computer Skills related to creation of reports and presentations in MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint
Compensation
- 65,000.00 - 108,000.00 USD Annual
- This pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation that the position offers, and final compensation can vary within the range depending on work location, job experience, skills, and relevant educational attainment and/or training.
