About the role

  • This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.
  • The SVP, Actuary needs to be able to work hand in hand with the broking teams to ensure analytics resources are used appropriately, client needs are met, and GC Analytics is supporting and strengthening the relationship with the client.

Responsibilities

  • You will be a strategic partner with brokers and clients helping to find the solutions to client problems.
  • Expand client services beyond reinsurance transactions to drive business development
  • Direct team to build complex specialty models to assess risk and develop pricing strategies for a range of risk exposures
  • Communicate strategically with brokers, re-insurers, and clients to anticipate clients' needs and drive usage of reinsurance actuarial services

Requirements

  • at least 7-10 years in the industry
  • Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Economics, Math, Statistics, or related field
  • Coding experience in programming languages (i.e. Alteryx, R, Python, VBA, SQL)

  • Advise senior management on issues, progress, etc., regularly in order to ensure the reinsurance transaction process
