About the role

  • Contributes to computational analysis of data generated across multiple research projects in the Sun lab, with a focus on cancer evolution, tumor immunology, transposable element biology, and multi-omics data integration.
  • Contributes to the development of reproducible computational workflows, data visualization tools, and laboratory data-management infrastructure while helping establish and expand the laboratory's computational research capabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Contributes to the design and interpretation of experimental projects and results.
  • Develops, maintains, and applies bioinformatic pipelines for bulk and single cells RNA sequencing, spatial transcriptomics, epigenetic profiling, epigenomic profiling, proteomics, and genomic analysis.
  • Collaborate closely with experimental researcher to design studies, interpret results, and support manuscript and grant preparation.

  • Ability to learn and deliver work to audience with varied backgrounds required

Nice to have

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Master degree preferred
  • Experience with genomics and bioinformatics in a clinical laboratory including setting up, testing and maintaining bioinformatics workflows required

Skills

  • Demonstrated ability to achieve results in a deadline driven environment with multiple priorities and multiple stakeholders required

Compensation

  • $63,815.00 - $95,723.00
  • The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job.
  • Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within the job's compensation range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations.
