About the role

  • As an Engineering Technician I at Mytra, you will join our Manufacturing Engineering team during a period of rapid scaling and production growth.
  • This is an entry-to-junior level role focused on executing structured, well-defined assembly and production tasks under direct supervision.

Responsibilities

  • Support Production Continuity: Execute structured, routine assembly workflows under close direction.
  • Support Workflow Efficiency: Contributes positively to team productivity by reliably delivering assigned work, maintaining a steady pace while prioritizing attention to quality and detail.
  • Maintain Production Assets: Operate basic shop equipment under supervision, assist with routine preventive maintenance tasks, and help keep tooling inventory organized.
  • Execute Hardware Builds: Assist in building product prototypes according to established documentation and step-by-step engineering instructions.
  • Collaborate & Learn: Communicate respectfully and clearly with supervisors and peers.
  • Prioritize Safety First: Strictly follow safety standards with oversight, demonstrate good spatial awareness (relative to overhead hazards and moving equipment), and maintain a clean, organized work environment (5S).

Requirements

  • Ideal Candidates Have basic hands-on experience or vocational training in mechanical assembly, using standard hand/power tools, and a foundational ability to read technical drawings or blueprints.
  • Have an interest or basic experience in fabrication, and comfort working around structural components or heavy machinery.
  • Have a High School Diploma, trade school certificate, or Associate degree with 0-2 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing, assembly, or prototyping environment.
  • Familiarity with simple wire routing, cable management, or basic electronics.

Nice to have

  • Equipment Familiarity: Basic experience or exposure to forklifts, scissor lifts, or boom lifts.
  • Electronics Basic Knowledge: Familiarity with simple wire routing, cable management, or basic electronics.
  • Workplace Standards: A foundational understanding of Lean manufacturing concepts or working in an ISO 9001 environment.

Skills

  • Are physically capable of lifting up to 40 pounds and remaining mobile throughout the facility.
  • Are comfortable working at heights and open to learning basic rigging safety (slings, shackles, hooks, etc.).

Compensation

  • The posted salary band is applicable only to the San Francisco Bay Area and is subject to change.
