Requirements

  • Expertise in data modelling and standards (UML, SysML, XML, JSON)
  • Knowledge of real-time data systems, telemetry, and time-series data
  • Experience with data exchange protocols (e.g., OPC, MQTT, APIs)
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity and key management (PKI, encryption, IEC 62443)
  • Strong ability to define data governance, ownership, and quality frameworks
  • Ability to translate operational and system needs into structured data requirements
  • Degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical, Telecom, or Computer Science
  • Typically 10+ years' experience in rail, infrastructure, or complex systems projects
  • At least one experience in High-Speed

Skills

  • Define data flows, ownership, governance, and validation rules
  • Ensure data consistency, integrity, and interoperability across all subsystems
  • Support system integration, testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting
  • Ensure compliance with safety, cybersecurity, and regulatory requirements

Compensation

  • expected but not as a threshold = Professional Engineer (PE) license and INCOSE membership
  • In accordance with applicable pay transparency laws, the expected compensation range for this role is $165,000 to $205,000 annually.
  • Compensation offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, education, certifications, geographic location, and other business and organizational needs.
