About the role

We are seeking a Vice President of Payment Operations & Partnerships to lead and scale our global payments operations and payments partner network.
This leader will own end-to-end payment operations, including onboarding, disputes, reconciliation, payouts, and automation, while also driving strategic partnerships and operational transformation.
A key mandate of this role is to embed AI and intelligent automation across payment operations, transforming workflows into scalable, data-driven systems that improve performance, reduce cost, and enhance the client experience for 37K merchants on our platform.

Lead and scale global payment operations across merchant onboarding, disputes/chargebacks, reconciliation, settlements, and payouts
Manage and expand strategic partnerships with PSPs, banks, and fintech providers, including commercial negotiations and performance optimization
Own chargeback and dispute strategy, improving prevention, win rates, and compliance with card network rules
Optimize merchant onboarding to deliver a seamless, compliant, and scalable experience across global markets
Develop real-time monitoring, alerting, and incident response capabilities through a centralized payments command center
Drive payment performance improvements (authorization rates, routing, cost of acceptance) through data, analytics, and partner strategies
Partner cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, Finance, Risk, and GTM teams to align payments strategy with company growth and platform evolution

15+ years of experience in payments, fintech, banking, or SaaS, with senior leadership in payment operations
Proven track record of scaling global payment operations, including reconciliation, disputes, onboarding, and payouts
Experience driving automation and transformation initiatives, including AI/ML-based solutions in operations

Familiarity with regulatory frameworks (PCI, NACHA, PSD2, etc.)
Experience implementing AI/automation in financial operations or payments environments
Background in multi-country, multi-entity payments environments
This role is critical to advancing ABC's global commerce platform-driving operational scale, financial accuracy, and intelligent automation while unlocking growth through partnerships and innovation.
Also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of compensation such as bonuses and commissions.

Our pay range for USA based candidates for this position is $ 220,000 - $ 265,000 USD annually.

Our pay range for Canada based candidates for this position is $248,200-275,500 CAD annually.
