About the role
- The Junior Paralegal provides assistance to litigation attorneys and paralegals, primarily in the area of discovery and trial.
- This role will also assist in a variety of administrative tasks.
- Candidate should also be flexible to work overtime as needed.
Responsibilities
- Prepares document productions
- Proofreads briefs and other legal documents
- Maintains case and document databases, updates files
- Basic document review and light research
- Supports trial preparation efforts including creating trial notebooks, identifying and organizing exhibits, working with witness schedules, maintaining trial calendars
- Assists with practice department activities/project work assignments as needed, and performs additional duties and responsibilities as assigned
- High attention to detail, outstanding organizational skills and the ability to manage time effectively
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of the organization
- Critical thinker with the ability to shift priorities and manage change with a positive outcome
Nice to have
- Bachelor's Degree required
- Certificate in paralegal studies from an accredited institution preferred
- equivalent experience considered
- Certified Paralegal a plus
- One to three years of litigation experience
- law firm experience is preferred
- Proficiency with Windows-based software and Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel and Outlook
- Exceptional computer and internet research skills with the ability to learn new software applications quickly

- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written), professional demeanor and presentation
- Ability to prioritize workload, adapt to a fast-paced environment
