Responsibilities

  • Maintain financial records and prepare provisions as necessary to reflect the company's financial position.
  • Manage accounts receivable processing, reviewing customer contracts, creating invoices, and ensuring timely collection of all customer accounts.
  • Maintain general ledger accuracy and proper recording of financial transactions.
  • Maintain and update LGCF Scholarship worksheets including the Scholarships Grid, Present Value Matrix, and restricted funds.
  • Audit, Tax, and Financial Support
  • Maintain configuration of Workday processes and reports for all financial modules including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Reporting, Budgeting, Cash Management and Accounting.
  • Collaborate with other departments and management to address special reporting needs and improve financial transparency.

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, and sit for long periods of time, and work at a computer for long periods of time.
  • The employee will be required to lift and/or move up to 60 pounds.

Nice to have

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting.
  • Masters degree a plus.
  • Must be fluent in English and Spanish.
  • Portuguese a plus.

Skills

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting. Masters degree a plus.
  • 5+ years of working experience in accounting in increasingly responsible roles.
  • Must be fluent in English and Spanish. Portuguese a plus.
  • Working knowledge of Workday highly desired but not required.
  • Strong problem-solving skills in handling diverse daily tasks.
  • Willingness and availability to travel as needed for the annual Latin GRAMMY Awards show every November.

Compensation

  • Prepare, analyze, and distribute financial statements including monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
  • Support the preparation of financial presentations for quarterly Finance Committee and annual Board of Director meetings.
  • Prepare annual Scholarship Deferral adjustments.
  • Prepare all necessary information and provide support required by auditors for annual reviews and opinions.
  • Review and prepare information to properly complete schedules of the annual 990 tax return.
  • The starting salary for this position is $73,000 to $80,000, benchmarked against industry standards.
