About the role
- As a result of accelerated growth, Altus is looking for a new Cost Consultant, Loan Monitoring.
- This is an exciting opportunity to be on-site for high-profile, complex construction projects from institutions such as schools and hospitals to mixed-use, office, and government buildings and corporate towers.
Responsibilities
- Deliver pre-development services. You will establish the feasibility of the project and identify risks.
- Review the development schedule and develop cash flow projections.
- Perform reviews of all material financial project documentation implications.

- AI tools may be used to support the initial stages of screening for this role; however, all assessments and final hiring decisions are reviewed and made by an Altus Group hiring professional.
Requirements
- A degree or diploma in Architecture, Construction or Civil Technology, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Building Science, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in loan and project monitoring.
- Strong knowledge of RICS Project Monitoring guidelines, CIQS standard method of measurement, both elemental and trade, provincial lien acts, and CCDC standard contract conditions.
- You can relay delays and setbacks while managing expectations and retaining the client's confidence.
- Anticipate, understand, and respond to the needs of clients, and you are driven to meet or exceed their expectations.
- You can innovate solutions to keep the project - and the business - moving forward.
- Ability to cross-team collaboration.

Compensation
- $75,000 - $105,000
