About the role
- The Retail Pharmacist provides safe, accurate, and patient-centered pharmacy services in an independent community pharmacy setting.
- This role is responsible for dispensing medications, ensuring compliance with all federal and California state regulations, and delivering an exceptional customer experience.
Responsibilities
- The pharmacist builds strong relationships with patients and providers, provides clinical guidance, and contributes to the operational and financial success of the pharmacy through high-quality service and efficient workflow management.
Requirements
- Current State of California Registered Pharmacist License required.
- Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree from an ACPE-accredited school of pharmacy
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
Nice to have
- Knowledge of and compliance with California pharmacy law and applicable federal regulations
- Previous experience in a retail or community pharmacy setting preferred (independent pharmacy experience highly desirable)
Skills
- Proficiency in pharmacy management systems, third-party billing platforms, and workflow optimization
- Strong problem-solving abilities, with the ability to address insurance issues, medication access challenges, and operational inefficiencies
