About the role

  • Our team of more than 270 professionals brings together expertise in groundwater, water supply, treatment, infrastructure, recycled water, stormwater, construction management, and operations technology.
  • Based on our Reno office location. (West Yost uses geographic salary differentials that would apply for candidates in other regions).
  • Status: Full-time, Exempt Location: Reno, NV ( https://www.westyost.com/locations/ ) This role will require a physical presence at the client project site 4 - 5 days a week.

Responsibilities

  • Since our founding in 1990, we have partnered with public agencies including cities, counties, utilities, and water districts to plan, design, and deliver water, wastewater, and stormwater solutions that support safe, reliable, and resilient communities.
  • We support projects from early planning and permitting through design and construction and complement our engineering services with program management and public outreach to help clients move work forward and engage their communities.

  • Individual sectors and teams also hold their own monthly meeting.
  • Developing and maintaining client contact before, during, and after project completion.
  • Identifying key pursuits and developing proposals and budgets for CM related projects.

Requirements

  • Required experience includes treatment plants, pump stations, pipelines, and/or concrete or steel water storage tanks.

Skills

  • Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications; prepare daily, weekly and monthly reports.
  • Computer literate and ability to use MS Word, Excel, Project, Adobe, and construction documentation software such as Procore.
  • Ability to review contractor monthly pay requests and confirm quantity & pricing is correct.
  • Experience with analyzing and negotiating potential change orders, dispute resolution, and claims mitigation.
  • Communicate effectively with contractors, city and agency staff, engineers, and regulatory agencies.
  • Effective communicator who can assist with marketing or business development efforts.

Compensation

  • Range: $100,250 - $158,350.
  • Based on our Reno office location.
  • (West Yost uses geographic salary differentials that would apply for candidates in other regions).

  • 10+ years in civil construction project oversight as part of a civil engineering or construction firm with a focus on water or wastewater.
