Responsibilities

- Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain commercial HVAC systems, including rooftop units, split systems, chillers, boilers, cooling towers, exhaust systems, and related equipment.
- Maintain proper refrigerant handling procedures in accordance with EPA regulations.
- Maintain accurate maintenance logs and repair records.
- Support hotel operations by maintaining equipment reliability and minimizing downtime.
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of refrigeration systems, electrical controls, motors, compressors, and preventive maintenance practices.
- Ability to read blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
- Ability to climb ladders, work on rooftops, and access mechanical rooms.
- Ability to bend, kneel, crawl, stoop, and stand for extended periods.
- Must be available to work mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, and participate in an on-call rotation as needed.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
- hotel experience preferred.
- Working knowledge of building automation systems is preferred.
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
- Physical Requirements
- Frequently lift up to 50 pounds
- occasionally lift up to 75 pounds with assistance.
Nice to have
- Diagnose electrical, mechanical, and refrigeration issues.
- Respond promptly to guest room HVAC issues and engineering work orders.
- Assist with plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and general maintenance projects as needed.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, local, state, and federal safety regulations.
- Coordinate with outside contractors when specialized repairs are required.
- Participate in the on-call rotation and respond to emergency maintenance situations.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- EPA Section 608 Certification (Universal preferred).
