Responsibilities
- This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps.
- Our partner is looking for a Senior Manager, M&A Accounting based in United States.
- You will serve as a technical accounting leader, partnering with senior executives and cross-functional teams to support complex transactions.
- Partner with Corporate Development teams to address technical accounting considerations related to acquisitions and support the transition of due diligence findings to operating teams.
- Lead and coordinate purchase price allocation processes, including collaboration with third-party valuation providers and review of valuation analyses.
- Support acquired business teams in preparing and reviewing post-acquisition opening balance sheets and accounting adjustments.
- Collaborate with external auditors on opening balance sheet reviews, valuation assessments, and SOX compliance requirements.
- Partner with tax teams to understand acquisition structures and related accounting requirements supporting global tax strategies.
- Drive improvements through technology adoption, including AI-enabled tools and automation solutions for accounting processes.
Requirements
- The ideal candidate is a highly experienced accounting professional with strong technical expertise in M&A transactions, public company reporting, and complex accounting standards.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field required.
- 7+ years of experience within a large public accounting firm and/or multinational public company environment.
- Strong expertise in acquisition accounting under ASC 805, including purchase price allocations, contingent consideration, valuation adjustments, and transaction-related accounting matters.
- Experience with impairment accounting for goodwill, intangible assets, and long-lived assets under ASC 350 and ASC 360.
Nice to have
- CPA certification preferred.
