- In this role, you will set up and operate CNC equipment, including plasma cutters, beam drill lines, and angle lines, to produce high-quality structural steel components.
- The ideal candidate has experience reading fabrication drawings, operating heavy manufacturing equipment, using precision measuring tools, and maintaining a safe, efficient work environment.

Responsibilities
- Monitor machining operations and make adjustments to maintain quality and dimensional accuracy.
- Perform routine machine maintenance and assist with basic troubleshooting to minimize downtime.
- Maintain an organized work area while following OSHA guidelines and established shop safety procedures.
Requirements
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a production team.
- Experience operating overhead cranes, forklifts, and rigging equipment.
- Familiarity with handling large structural steel components in a fabrication shop.
Nice to have
- Set up and operate CNC fabrication equipment, including plasma cutters, beam drill lines, and angle lines.
- Read and interpret blueprints, fabrication drawings, work orders, and production specifications.
- Load, position, and secure steel beams, plates, and other materials using overhead cranes and rigging equipment.
- Verify finished parts using precision measuring tools, including tape measures, calipers, and squares.
- Make basic CNC programming edits or machine adjustments for varying material sizes and thicknesses.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Technical school or trade school training is a plus.
- At least two years of experience operating CNC equipment in structural steel fabrication or another heavy manufacturing environment.
