Responsibilities

  • Develop new product concepts through formulation, application, and performance testing of coatings, adhesives, and optical materials.
  • Establish structure-property relationships to guide formulation design and optimize product performance.
  • Maintain a safe laboratory environment and actively promote safe work practices.
  • Apply experimental design and statistical data analysis to accelerate product development and support data-driven decisions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional team members and external partners to advance project goals.
  • Deliver project milestones on schedule while maintaining high technical quality.

Requirements

  • M.S. in Chemistry with 3 + years of industry experience, or B.S. in Chemistry with 7 + years of industry experience in chemistry, materials science, or a related discipline.
  • Experience in polymer science, adhesion chemistry, and coatings formulation design is required.
  • Strong background in root cause analysis, statistical thinking, and experimental design.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively within cross -functional teams.
  • Creative, hands-on scientist with a practical approach to problem solving.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
  • Ability to work independently, lead projects, and deliver solutions that meet customer requirements.

Nice to have

  • Familiarity with organic chromophores, optics, liquid crystal science, and transparent film application is a plus.
