  • As an Animal Care Technician, you'll play an important role in making those connections happen.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate animal intake and support each animal's journey through the shelter.
  • Maintain accurate records within our shelter management system.
  • Support efficient front- and back-of-house shelter operations.
  • Collaborate with staff and volunteers to ensure exceptional care and service.
  • Every day presents new opportunities to solve problems, support families, and improve the lives of pets and people throughout Central Oregon.
  • Support both pets and the people who love them.

Requirements

  • Basic computer proficiency.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.

  • Previous experience in customer service, animal care, or shelter operations is helpful but not required.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Valid driver's license and insurable driving record.

Compensation

  • The compensation range for this position is $19.00-$25.69 per hour.
  • Starting pay is determined based on qualifications, relevant experience, and internal equity.
