- This position is based at Kind Clinic Central Austin; however, Medical Assistants may be cross-trained and periodically asked to provide coverage at other Austin-area Kind Clinic locations based on operational and patient care needs.
Responsibilities
- Perform repetitive motions with wrists, hands, and fingers.
- Unofficial transcripts and copies of other relevant documents may be attached to the application for consideration in advance.
Requirements
- Individual must be able to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and to be able to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
- Must be able to work and concentrate amidst distractions such as noise, conversation, and foot traffic; ability to handle interruptions often and be able to move from one task to another.
Nice to have
- High school diploma or GED.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required or must be obtained before hire date.
- Texas Phlebotomy Certification required within 2 days of hire (if not current at time of hire).
- 2+ years direct patient care experience.
- Working knowledge of infection control and universal precautions.
- Familiarity with a CLIA-waived laboratory testing a strong plus.
- Experience with LGBTQIA+ and/or other marginalized communities a strong plus.
- Microsoft Office Skills with an ability to become familiar with company specific programs or software.
