About the role
- SUMMARY The Desktop Deployment Laborer will be a motivated, hands-on entry-level laborer to assist with the physical installation, cabling, and setup of desktop devices, network hardware, and Information Technology (IT) equipment.
- Unlike a mid-level professional role, this position focuses strictly on the physical labor, basic installation tasks, and structured cabling under the direct guidance of senior technicians.
- You will not be responsible for network administration, cybersecurity compliance, or software configuration.
Responsibilities
- Keep a clean, safe workspace and help maintain an accurate physical inventory of tools and equipment.
- Perform basic power-on self-tests (POST) to verify that installed equipment physically turns on.

Requirements
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a SECRET security clearance for access to systems, facilities, equipment and property.
- Regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel.
- Regularly required to reach with hands and arms, occasionally above head.
- Regularly required to twist at the waist, climb and descend stairs while carrying objects.
- Ability to speak and hear.
- Frequently required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
- Occasionally required to sit and climb or balance.
- The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
- Assist with logistics operations within the warehouse to support desktop deployment installation tasks when required.
- Terminate basic network cables and apply clear, accurate labels to all cables and ports as required.
Nice to have
- Experience in Government contracting preferred.
Skills
- May require the use of hand tools and electric tools to assemble desks, install clients, monitors, keyboards, and accoutrements.
Compensation
- The estimated pay range for this role is $24/hour-$30/hour, with the final offer contingent on location, skillset, and experience.
