About the role
- This is a freelance role (35-40 hours/wk) with potential to convert to a full-time position after a 6-month engagement.
- The Associate Branded Content Writer's main responsibility will be writing compelling, engaging, and entertaining advertising content with a strong focus on podcast and audio formats.
- As our audio advertising channel continues to scale, this person will play a critical role in supporting host-read ad development across our growing podcast portfolio.
Responsibilities
- Support host-read podcast ad script development across our podcast portfolio
- Translate partner briefs and assets into 35-150 word advertorials (newsletter ads, targeted emails, etc.) on a daily basis for B2B and B2C partners
- Partner with multimedia stakeholders as podcast inventory grows
- Partner closely with Account Management, Creative Strategy, and clients to understand goals and translate them into content that performs:
- Process, negotiate, and implement creative feedback from brand partners
- Audit, understand, and act on data from our Insights & Analytics team to inform what we say and how we say it, all while keeping partner goals and standards top of mind
- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and project-manage your own work and time
- We may use artificial intelligence (AI) tools to support parts of the hiring process, such as reviewing applications, analyzing resumes, or assessing responses.
Nice to have
- 1-2+ years of professional creative writing, copywriting, and/or content/marketing experience - a portfolio that showcases your work is a major plus
- Experience working with multiple client categories
- financial services, B2B, or consumer writing experience is a plus
Compensation
- COMPENSATION $30–$35/hour (commensurate with experience)
