About the role
- Role Description This is a full-time Data Scientist role with Newton Research, Inc.
- This role requires the candidate to work at our offices in Needham, MA.
- The role will also involve collaborating with cross-functional teams, mentoring other data scientists, and presenting findings to stakeholders.
Requirements
- Strong foundation in data analysis, statistical modeling, and machine learning concepts.
- Base Salary Range: $160,000-$180,000 + Equity
Nice to have
- Master's or PhD in a quantitative field such as Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
- Proficiency in Python, including familiarity with data science libraries like pandas and scikit-learn.
- Experience writing SQL queries and working with relational databases.
- Demonstrated ability to approach data challenges systematically and creatively.
- Ability to clearly explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Willingness to learn and grow in a fast-paced, dynamic startup environment.
- Familiarity with big data technologies or cloud computing platforms is a plus.
- Experience in projects or internships involving collaboration with teams is a plus.
Compensation
- $160,000-$180,000 + Equity
