About the role

  • Job Description: Reporting to the academic Department Chair, the Department Manager is responsible for supporting assigned faculty and Chairs in their programs' efficient and effective operations.
  • This is a full-time remote position based in Los Angeles, California.
  • may include other related duties, as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Manage active courses' logistical needs (e.g., routing requests for course modification through the necessary approvals).
  • Support program accreditation activities (e.g., data management, site visits).
  • Manage academic department assessments, e.g., CCE, ACE, CPCE, and comps exams.
  • Manage the documentation and processing of student research, i.e., thesis/AAP/ARP/dissertation, e.g., forms collection, Maxient, manuscript preparation submission.
  • Facilitate the submission of personnel-related documents (e.g., I-9).
  • Ensure coordinated communication between faculty, student support, and advising operations on all relevant academic operations activities.
  • Obtain and submit necessary documents for vendor and third-party payments (e.g., W-9, invoices).

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • High level of computer proficiency, including MS Office (Access, Excel, Publisher, PowerPoint, and Word), Adobe Professional
  • Occasional in-person attendance will be required, along with domestic travel and work outside standard business hours to support key activities and events as determined by the program.
  • Provide support for term preparation (e.g., ensuring timely availability of course materials, collaborating with Facilities to secure required space and technology).

Compensation

  • This opportunity is budgeted at $27.45-$28.04 base compensation.
  • Additional compensation factors may impact total compensation.
