About the role
- Madhappy uses apparel, events, and experimental retail spaces - including its permanent flagship in West Hollywood - to explore a personal expression as a means to an improved state of mind.
- The brand currently produces a selection of ever-evolving, evergreen classic styles, seasonally available collections and collaborations.
- In this position, you will be responsible for creating graphics at a high level with consistency across brand values, project briefs, and collaborators.
Responsibilities
- Create apparel and accessories graphics from conception through final vendor-ready art
- Collaborate with Design to develop and execute seasonal deliverables
- Interpret trend boards and design direction in order to develop graphics and textiles for all divisions
- Partner with Designers to ensure a cohesive collection for each season
- Create repeat patterns and prints
- Create detailed techpacks with specs and techniques for each artwork
- Maintain project libraries and organize graphics by season and concept
Requirements
- You must be based in or willing to move to Los Angeles to be considered for this position.
- 3+ years of relevant graphic design experience
Nice to have
- Exceptional Illustrator & Photoshop Skills
- Knowledge of the consumer.
- Commercial awareness
- Experience working on a fast paced, small team is a plus
- Proven concepting, research, and creative skills (preferably shown through a portfolio)
- Strong communication skills
- Attention to detail
- Extremely organized
Compensation
- 15 days PTO, and 9 days sick pay annually
