About the role

  • As a Software Manager, you will play a pivotal player-coach role, leading a team of talented developers in building and enhancing our EMDECS and emdecs one platforms.
  • Reporting directly to the VP of Operations & Customer Experience, you will own the full software delivery lifecycle, from planning and execution to release management and production reliability.
  • You will collaborate closely with Product and key stakeholders to shape the roadmap and ensure our solutions meet the evolving needs of our customers.

Responsibilities

  • Include: Lead, mentor, and coach the software engineering team to achieve high performance and professional growth.
  • Own delivery planning, sprint execution, and release management, ensuring timely and high-quality software releases.
  • Collaborate with Product and stakeholders to define the roadmap and translate requirements into actionable plans.
  • Drive architecture decisions, enforce code quality standards, and champion engineering best practices.
  • Architecting scalable solutions on our AWS cloud infrastructure and integrating with partners like GoodData and HubSpot.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field - or equivalent hands-on experience.
  • A proven development leader with 5+ years of software development and 3+ years managing direct reports.

  • Security Clearance with the Government of Canada Bilingual in English and French Experience in fleet management, telematics, or ELD software

Compensation

  • $115k-$125k
