About the role
- The role focuses on outreach, recruitment, and engagement of Korean and Chinese 2nd-generation community members to increase access to culturally and linguistically appropriate services.
- The role also includes facilitating and coordinating workshops, supporting participant follow-up, conducting outreach activities, and maintaining basic data collection and reporting to ensure effective program delivery and outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Recruit, engage, and support Korean and Chinese American young adults participating in the NextGen program
- Provide job readiness services, including career counseling, resume development, interview preparation, and employment support
- Monitor participant progress and provide follow-up support to encourage successful outcomes
- Collaborate with staff, volunteers, and community partners to support program activities and events
- The position provides job readiness support for NextGen participants, including job counseling, career development guidance, and assistance with employment preparation.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a related field required.
- Strong understanding of the Korean and/or Chinese American community, particularly second-generation young adults and their unique cultural experiences.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and virtual meeting platforms.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends as required by program activities.
- Maintain participant records, collect program data, and prepare required reports and documentation
Nice to have
- Bilingual proficiency (verbal and written) in English and Korean is preferred.
- Experience with data entry, record keeping, and program reporting preferred.
