- The expected salary range for this role is $21.67 an hour AND $0.65 per mile, with a $ 65/per diem.
Responsibilities
- Deliver all local (straight truck - primary routes) and OTR (bulk truck - backup driver) loads safely and on schedule, planning routes based on weather, haul distance and delivery times.
- Proactively adjust routes based on changing conditions using GPS, onboard systems or other navigation tools to optimize fuel consumption.
- Perform basic vehicle maintenance and minor repairs such as adding oil, fuel, and fluids to ensure continuous safe operation.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 3+ years of experience as an over-the-road driver.
