About the role
- FMS Aerospace is seeking a highly organized and detail‑oriented full-time Shipping & Receiving Specialist to join our Huntsville team.
- The Shipping & Receiving (S&R) Specialist is responsible for accurate receipt, inspection, documentation, storage, packaging, and shipment of aerospace materials, components, and equipment.
Requirements
- 2+ years of shipping, receiving, inventory control, or warehouse experience
- Experience using an ERP system (such as Unanet, Deltek Costpoint, SAP, Oracle, or similar systems)
- U.S. citizenship required
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, regulated environment
- Knowledge of ITAR, EAR, and export compliance requirements
- The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and experienced in handling of controlled aerospace products and documentation.
- Maintain traceability records and required documentation.
- Generate shipping labels, bills of lading, export documentation, and other required shipping records.
Nice to have
- Background in aviation airframe modifications and/or the aerospace industry
- Experience in aerospace, defense, manufacturing, or government contracting environments
- Familiarity with AS9100 quality standards
- Forklift certification or ability to obtain certification
- Experience handling serialized, controlled, or government-furnished property
- DoD or military experience
- Experience with Unanet software
- Aerospace machining or manufacturing background
