About the role
- Responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the Fuel Yard plant equipment.
- Responsible for operating and maintaining stacker/reclaimer, conveyors, dewatering bins, and various other plant systems.
- Responsible for operating and maintaining conveyors, dewatering belts, and various other plant systems.
Responsibilities
- Performs lower skilled electrical and mechanical duties as qualified to maintain equipment.
Requirements
- Good knowledge of basic math, reading and writing skills required.
- Ability to use all hand tools and other various tools.
Nice to have
- Operating power plant fuel and ash handling equipment and may include assignment to the warehouse function.
- Monitors equipment temperature, pressure, flow, and level gauges to assess the condition of the equipment.
- Will be required to use an assortment of tools that may include forklift operation, electrical test equipment meters, hand tools, and power tools both electrical and air operated.
- The majority of work will be performed in a physically demanding environment, which includes working outdoors in all types of weather conditions.
- Some overtime will be required.
- Employees shall be required to train and function as a member of the fire brigade.
- All work shall be performed in compliance with Safety Handbook.
- Performs other duties as required
