About the role
- Join our legal team and play a key role in defending both the insured and the Company.
- You'll stay current on evolving laws and regulations to ensure our defense strategies remain effective and compliant.

Responsibilities
- Independently manage all aspects of PIP/No-Fault litigation from inception through resolution, including case evaluation, discovery, motion practice, arbitrations, mediations, and settlement negotiations.
- Review and analyze new file assignments, assess liability and damages, develop defense strategies, and draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents with minimal supervision.
- Support team development by mentoring junior attorneys, sharing subject-matter expertise, and contributing to process improvements and best practices.
- Demonstrated ability to independently manage a full litigation caseload with minimal oversight.
Requirements
- 4+ years of PIP / No-Fault litigation experience or equivalent transferable litigation experience (e.g., insurance defense, personal injury, civil litigation).
- Advanced time management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize competing deadlines.
- Experience conducting arbitrations, EUOs, depositions, and settlement negotiations.
- Must be within commutable distance to courthouses throughout New Jersey.
- The candidate(s) offered this position will be required to submit to a background investigation.
- When working from home, you must have a dedicated, private workspace free from distractions, along with appropriate desk and seating.
- Reliable internet is required, with minimum speeds of 50 MB download and 5 MB upload.

Compensation
- Compensation offered for this role is 90,700.00 - 153,925.00 annually and is based on experience and qualifications.
- This policy applies to all aspects of the employment relationship, including, but not limited to, hiring, training, salary administration, promotion, job assignment, benefits, discipline, and separation of employment.
