About the role
- We deploy in regions facing severe CO2 shortages, where prices are highest, allowing us to generate high margins without tax credits or carbon credits.
- We've signed up some of the largest companies in the world to pilot our technology, including iconic multibillion-dollar brands, top trucking companies, and some of the most recognizable Fortune 100 companies.
- The world needs our technology and it won't happen any time soon if we don't make it happen.
Responsibilities
- Design and build the performance monitoring and reporting framework for Remora's carbon capture fleet, establishing system baselines and KPIs from R&D and commissioning data.
- Develop automated dashboards and reports including real-time operational views and periodic operational and investor-facing reports covering system availability, CO₂ production, and energy efficiency.
- Partner with controls engineers to integrate analytics with Ignition SCADA and SQL historian infrastructure.
- Collaborate closely with engineers to translate process knowledge into scalable analytics and develop fleet benchmarking capabilities.
- Build anomaly detection and leading-indicator monitoring to identify emerging performance issues, evolving these models toward predictive maintenance capabilities as fleet data grows.
- Support commissioning by developing tools that enable rapid validation and troubleshooting of new systems.
- Experience developing automated dashboards, reporting systems, and data visualization tools.
- In the absence of guidance, we take charge, lead our teammates, and accomplish our goals.
- Remora is seeking a Senior Performance Analyst to build the analytical foundation for our next-generation carbon capture fleet.
- We're building modular carbon capture systems for vehicles - turning exhaust into beverage-grade CO2 sold to breweries and greenhouses.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related technical field.
- 5+ years of experience in industrial analytics, performance engineering, data science, or similar technical roles.
- Proficiency in Python, R, or another scripting language for data analysis and statistical modeling.
- Strong understanding of statistical analysis, time-series data, anomaly detection, and process monitoring.
- Ability to work cross-functionally with engineering teams and translate complex technical concepts into scalable analytical solutions.
- We think strategically with an eye to the long term, and we clearly separate what must be done well now, and what can be improved later, despite ambiguity.
Benefits
- We've raised multiple rounds of funding from top investors like Lowercarbon Capital, Union Square Ventures, First Round Capital, Y Combinator, and Valor Equity Partners.
Company info
- We are cool under pressure, and our quiet determination and drive are unwavering.
- Many would say our standards are unreasonably high, and many would say our goals are unreasonably bold, but we are hungry to be exceptional.
