About the role
- Zoox is looking for an embedded software engineer to join our Firmware Body Systems team.
- In this role, you will be responsible for embedded software development for the body, thermal, lighting, and power management functions and sub-systems of the Zoox vehicle.
- This includes integration of supplier systems, coordination and control of all body sub-systems, and interactions with higher-level systems.

- Compensation There are three major components to compensation for this position: salary, Amazon Restricted Stock Units (RSUs), and Zoox Stock Appreciation Rights. The salary range for this position is $150,000 to $215,000. A sign-on bonus may be offered as part of the compensation package. Compensation will vary based on geographic location and level. Leveling, as well as positioning within a level, is determined by a range of factors, including, but not limited to, a candidate's relevant years of experience, domain knowledge, and interview performance. The salary range listed in this posting is representative of the range of levels Zoox is considering for this position. Nice to have
- Basic knowledge of control systems for electromechanical systems
- Experience with CAN, LIN analysis, and debugging tools (PCAN, CANalyzer, CANape, etc.)
- Hands-on experience with hardware bring-up and system debugging
- Familiarity with high assurance development practices and tools (Polarion, ISO-26262, MISRA C/C++, etc)
- Experience in Power Electronics and Battery Management
