About the role
- Although this role does not have direct supervisory responsibility, the Learning & Development Specialist may facilitate training sessions, workshops, onboarding programs, Train the Trainer initiatives, and other learning events based on business needs.
- Conduct learning needs analyses in partnership with business leaders and subject matter experts.
- Translate operational procedures, policies, and system enhancements into engaging, learner-focused curriculum.
Responsibilities
- Timely completion of instructional design projects.
- Instructional Design & Development
- Design graphics, infographics, job aids, facilitator guides, participant materials, and quick reference resources.
- Deliver onboarding, refresher training, workshops, webinars, and change management training.
- Support major business initiatives through classroom instruction and knowledge transfer activities.
- Develop knowledge assessments, competency validations, surveys, and evaluations.
- Conduct Train the Trainer sessions for internal teams and external business partners.
Requirements
- Occasional domestic travel may be required to support training initiatives, business meetings, or operational projects.
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods.
- Ability to frequently operate a computer and standard office equipment.
- Ability to present information to individuals and groups both in-person and virtually.
- Ability to occasionally lift training materials or equipment up to 20 pounds.

- Leverage AI-enabled technologies and learning tools to improve efficiency and learner engagement.

- Develop onboarding programs, role-based learning paths, continuing education, certification programs, and knowledge transfer initiatives.
- Apply instructional design methodologies (ADDIE, SAM, Agile Learning, or similar) and adult learning principles to maximize learner engagement and knowledge retention.
- Develop interactive eLearning courses and digital learning experiences.
- Produce instructional videos, demonstrations, simulations, and scenario-based learning.
- Maintain consistency in branding, formatting, and instructional standards across all learning assets.
- Utilize Microsoft Forms and Learning Management Systems (LMS) to administer learning content and assessments.
- Collaborate with operational leaders, project teams, and subject matter experts to identify learning needs.
