About the role
- Translate manual and/or low-tech processes into scalable, efficiently automated solutions; evaluate and refactor legacy configurations and automations.
- Write clean, maintainable code and proper workflow/project documentation.
- Monitor system performance and proactively resolve issues; identify and reduce technical debt through continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design, configuration, and implementation of Salesforce solutions, including workflow analysis, automation improvements, and optimization; serve as project manager for approved initiatives.
- Build, maintain, and continuously improve workflow automation, efficiency, and interoperability across programs and reporting; serve as project manager for upgrades and new workflow implementations.
- Manage data synchronization strategies and system-of-record definitions; develop and maintain scalable data models; develop and enforce data governance.
- Write clean, maintainable code and proper workflow/project documentation. Customize Salesforce applications and implement complex workflows. Develop / maintain Apex test classes for system reliability.
- Advise leadership using written, executive-ready one-pagers and propos als; provide technical guidance to staff and vendors; manage vendor relationships and oversee vendor projects.
- Support occasional evening or weekend work for deployments or critical issues.
Requirements
- 4+ years of Salesforce experience with workflow automation and integrations.
- ability to work both independently and collaboratively, applying sound analytical judgment in all contexts.
- Experience with Salesforce Flow and Apex development
- Strong understanding of data modeling and system architecture, c ommitment to data governance, KPI reporting, systems documentation, and version control.
Nice to have
- Experience in nonprofit or mission-driven environments.
- Experience with enterprise-wide software system upgrades.
- Familiarity with Salesforce Nonprofit Cloud (NPC)/ Agentforce and/or Nonprofit Success Pack (NPSP).
- Experience with Lightning Web Components (LWC) and JavaScript, middleware tools (MuleSoft, Workato, Zapier), and reporting tools (Power BI, Tableau).
- Salesforce certifications strongly preferred.
- Physical Requirements
- Ability to work on a computer and see details of objects at close range.
- Ability to hear within normal range, and communicate effectively (in person, telephone or Zoom ).
