About the role

  • Packaging and Product Device Engineer The Packaging and Product Device Engineer is responsible for designing, testing, and implementing packaging solutions that are a critical component of the organization's Product Development process.
  • Warehouse in Somerset, NJ - Full time onsite role (5 day in-office).

Responsibilities

  • We never skimp on quality of our scents or the products that deliver them.
  • Our design ethos is simple but effective.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in industrial or consumer packaging.
  • Proficiency in CAD software, 3D modeling (SolidWorks required) and 3D printing processes / equipment use.
  • Experience in rapid prototyping.
  • Experience with design engineering - designing and developing packaging from scratch.
  • Experience in a regulated environment (FDA).
  • Experience with hazardous goods (lithium batteries, plug-in devices, and fragrance solvents).
  • Must have good communication skills, orally and in writing.
  • Must be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Nice to have

  • Working closely with internal cross-functional teams and external packaging suppliers, this individual ensures packaging meets functional, quality, and operational objectives.
  • Relocation assistance is available for candidates open to moving to the area.
  • Must be able to demonstrate project management skills and experience
  • project management certification is a plus.

  • Windows, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, etc.
  • Demonstrated experience with innovative or creative packaging design.
  • Experience collaborating with R&D/chemistry teams on formula-packaging compatibility.
