About the role

  • The Aptiv Connection Systems team has an exciting opportunity for an Application Engineer.
  • The successful candidate will possess proven world-class technical experience, strong communication and organization skills.

Responsibilities

  • Manage preparation of Technical Design Reviews
  • Manage Change Control, part release strategy and customer drawing process (ECR, F3x, ECO)
  • Develop connection systems products using requirements from the customer, Aptiv Bill of Design, Bill of Process, best practices, and design guidelines.
  • Product Design & Engineering experience

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Business
  • 3+ years of experience within the automotive industry as an engineer
  • 1+ years of knowledge of Electrical Centers Hardware and software.
  • 1+ years of knowledge of automotive Electrical systems- ability to read vehicle/system/subsystem/component schematics
  • Ability to manipulate hand tools (pliers, screwdriver, soldering iron, DMM).
  • Must Haves (i.e. Basic Qualifications):

  • Product Validation experience
  • GM System knowledge (Jira PRTS, ECR, TeamCenter)
