Responsibilities

  • Epic Games is seeking a Senior Game Designer, Activities Design to join our dynamic team and contribute to various aspects of objectives and encounter design for our collaboration with Disney.
  • In this role, you'll leverage your experience, design tool expertise, and a sense of gameplay to elevate the game's quality and delight players with fresh experiences.
  • Drive objectives and encounters to advance the project's gameplay and in-game progression
  • Deliver varied and scalable content across worlds to enhance design velocity as the project grows
  • Quickly iterate on encounter and objective design elements while upholding the high Epic quality standards on a project of this scale
  • Deep experience in PvPvE objective and encounter design, crucial for the project's evolving scope

Requirements

  • Minimum of 4+ years' experience shipping multiple AAA titles as a game designer
  • Proficiency in using major game engines (e.g., UE5)
  • Demonstrated ability to improvise and creatively solve problems
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a solution-oriented mindset, with the ability to adapt quickly to changing project needs

Compensation

  • In addition to base pay, most employees are eligible to participate in Epic's generous benefit plans and discretionary incentive programs (subject to the terms of those plans or programs).

  • Each base pay range is relevant only for individuals who are residents of or will be expected to work within the specified locale.
  • Compensation varies based on a variety of factors, which include (but aren't limited to) things such as skills and competencies, qualifications, knowledge, and experience.
  • $107,812 - $158,124 CAD
