Responsibilities

  • Provide support in the review of property budgets, business plans & quarterly reforecasts
  • Develop a working knowledge of leases, loan documents & other legal agreements
  • Help develop financial models including discounted cash flows, IRR analysis, NPV analysis, etc. utilizing Microsoft Excel and Argus
  • It is an alternative credit pioneer that seeks to deliver attractive returns through its relationships, specialist expertise, and global reach.
  • We focus exclusively on credit, building deep expertise across direct lending, structured credit, liquid credit, special situations, infrastructure debt, and real estate.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of full-time experience with a real estate background
  • Bachelor's Degree in business, finance, economics, real estate, or related field
  • Familiarity with loan due diligence to include property appraisals, environmental reports, engineering reports, and insurance reviews
  • Outstanding quantitative and analytical skills, attention to detail, ability to multi-task effectively
  • Ability to work both independently and as a team member
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, demanding environment
  • The successful candidate will ideally possess:
  • Understanding of real estate fundamentals, commercial office leases, financing principles, and debt capital structures
  • Highly proficient in Excel
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Compensation Range
  • Along with base compensation, other compensation is offered such as a discretionary bonus, 401k plan, health insurance, and other perks. There are several factors taken into consideration in making compensation decisions including but not limited to location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. At Franklin Templeton/Benefit Street Partners, we apply a total reward philosophy where all aspects of compensation and benefits are taken into consideration in determining compensation. We expect the base salary for this position to range between $100,000 - $120,000, plus discretionary bonus.

Nice to have

  • Loan servicing or construction loan administration experience a plus
  • Commercial real estate valuation, underwriting and/or accounting experience a plus
