About the role

  • Join Avidyne's Supply Chain team as a Senior Buyer, where you'll shape sourcing strategies and strengthen supplier relationships to ensure materials for innovative avionics solutions are available.

Responsibilities

  • You'll partner with engineering, operations, and production teams, manage supplier performance, lead sourcing initiatives, and drive continuous improvement, making a measurable impact on operational success.
  • WHAT YOU'LL OWN At Avidyne, you'll help translate supply chain strategy into practical, reliable solutions that support innovation, production, and long-term business success.
  • Develop and execute sourcing strategies across electronics, build-to-print, and consumables categories, including supplier rationalization and dual-source planning.
  • Lead RFQ/RFP events, negotiate pricing, lead times, and contract terms, and drive total cost of ownership improvements.
  • Own supplier performance reviews, corrective action plans, and strategic account-level partnerships.
  • Partner with engineering on component selection, availability risk, capacity constraints, and obsolescence planning.

  • Minimum 5 years of procurement, purchasing, or supply chain experience with increasing responsibility.
  • Minimum 5 years in the electronic component industry.
  • Ability to analyze total cost of ownership, supplier performance, and sourcing risks for data-driven decisions.
  • Knowledge of supplier performance management, corrective action processes, and continuous improvement.
  • Capable of managing multiple priorities independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in ERP and MRP systems, as well as Microsoft Office applications.
