About the role

  • The Intake Therapist is a full-time role responsible for delivering high-quality, compassionate, and ethical mental health services within the FACE to FACE Partial Hospitalization and Outpatient Programs.

Responsibilities

  • Provide therapeutic support and assistance within the Partial Hospitalization and Outpatient Programs as needed.
  • Manage crisis situations appropriately, including CPI-approved physical interventions, CPR if necessary, and pursuit of eloping clients.
  • Demonstrate and maintain stable, professional, and appropriate boundaries with clients at all times.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support clinic operations.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in social work, counseling, or psychology required.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Ability to effectively engage diverse populations, including children, adolescents, and adults.
  • Proficiency in using computers, phones, and office equipment for documentation and telehealth purposes is necessary.
  • Complete required documentation in accordance with clinic policies and procedures.
  • Meet eligibility requirements and successfully complete the Michigan licensing exam for full licensure within the required timeframe, if applicable.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Nice to have

  • Active current clinical licensure (LPC, LMSW, LLP, LP preferred
  • LLC, LLMSW acceptable
  • TLLP not eligible) in the State of Michigan and continued satisfactory standings with the appropriate board and insurance entities.

Compensation

  • $60,000 - $70,000 annually, commensurate with experience, license type, and productivity, with eligibility for productivity bonuses awarded twice per year (every six months).
  • This role combines clinical expertise with administrative responsibilities to ensure seamless client care and program support.
  • Provide compassionate, person-centered care by addressing client needs with professionalism, empathy, and creativity while promoting recovery and well-being.
  • Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments and evaluations for new or potential clients on both scheduled and emergency bases.
  • Provide therapeutic support and assistance within the Partial Hospitalization and Outpatient Programs as needed.
  • Participate in Utilization Review processes, including obtaining and maintaining authorizations for services provided.
