About the role
- We are seeking a mid to senior-level AV Technician to join our Burnaby team.
- In this role, you will be responsible for installing audiovisual systems in conference rooms, classrooms, and other meeting environments.
- In addition to installation, you will troubleshoot systems, load programs, and set up AV equipment.
Responsibilities
- Perform cable pulls, solder, crimp and terminate audio, video and network cables
- Perform complex installations (anchoring, cable mounts, uni-strut)
- Maintain daily communication with Scheduler, Installation Manager and Account Managers on status of project and task lists
Requirements
- Must be able to lift 50lbs and work on ladders and lifts
- Willing to work out of town, overnight travel may be required from time to time
Nice to have
- Ideal candidate will have 3.
- 5 years of audiovisual integration experience
- Crestron/Extron/AMX programming/configuration experience preferred
- Avixa CTS or CTS-I Certification
Skills
- Ability to work and think independently and work under tight deadlines
- Read and interpret electronic schematics and architectural blueprints
- Knowledge of low voltage systems and signal flow for audio, video and control
- Troubleshooting, quality checks, servicing abilities, problem solving abilities
- Must be organized and detail oriented
- Willing to mentor Junior level installers
