About the role
- The successful candidates will be determined by their experience and attitude today working in a fast-paced environment.
- Test repaired equipment for proper performance and to ensure that work meets manufacturers' specifications.
Responsibilities
- Clean, lubricate and perform other routine maintenance work on equipment.
- May perform repair work on heavy trucks.
- Maintain service records and preventative maintenance for all equipment.
Requirements
- A minimum of 5+ years of mechanical experience with heavy equipment is ideal for this position - journeyperson certification would be an asset.
- Completion of a 4 year apprenticeship program or a combination of over four years of work experience and industry courses in heavy equipment repair.
- 4+ years of experience working on heavy civil construction equipment
- Diagnose faults or malfunctions using computerized and other testing equipment to determine extent of repair required.
- Requirements and qualifications for this position are a combination of skills and attitude. A minimum of 5+ years of mechanical experience with heavy equipment is ideal for this position - journeyperson certification would be an asset.
