About the role
- This role oversees the full mechanical estimating process-including quantity takeoffs, labor and equipment analysis, material pricing, subcontractor evaluations, and risk assessments-for projects up to $25M or higher depending on scope and self‑performance.
- Specifically, this role will focus on estimation within the mining industry, taking on estimating for specific mining-related projects in the given region.
- Apply advanced cost analysis and contingency planning for risk mitigation.

- The Senior Mechanical Estimator is a key leader within the Estimating team, responsible for developing accurate, competitive, and comprehensive mechanical construction estimates for complex industrial projects.
- The Senior Mechanical Estimator interprets mechanical drawings, piping and equipment specifications, isometrics, and contract documents to build detailed work breakdown structures and precise cost models.
- Interpret and analyze P&ID drawings and other technical documents.
- Incorporate design methodologies such as DesignAssist and DesignBuild when applicable.

Requirements
- Minimum of 8+ years of experience in industrial construction estimating, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
- Estimating experience with Accubid, HCSS, HeavyBid, and/or HeavyJob
- Ability to read Interpret P&ID drawings and other technical schematics.
- Scheduling experience with MSP or P6.
Nice to have
- Bachelor's degree in construction management, Engineering, or related discipline
- Direct Involvement In civil, concrete, structural steel, equipment setting, and mechanical construction.
- Experience with DesignAssist and DesignBuild delivery methods.
