About the role

  • Advise on legal principles relating to data privacy, IP, information security, and corporate risk mitigation
  • Assist (globally) with review and negotiation of procurement and marketing contracts as needed
  • Provide comprehensive legal training to different teams (e.g. prepare and structure the information for training)

Responsibilities

  • Storyblok is a headless CMS that enables marketers and developers to create with joy and succeed in the AI-driven content era.
  • Support in providing legal advice on new product initiatives & feature launches
  • Support the legal team to build and maintain documentation for the whole team
  • Support the legal team across a range of administrative functions and project-based work, adapting to evolving priorities and business needsProvide accurate and concise legal research for topics requested from the team
  • You will manage legal projects with autonomy, guide business teams, and collaborate with external counsel as needed.
  • While focused on the AMER region, you will also support legal initiatives in EMEA and APAC, contributing to global policies and aligning legal processes across regions.
  • Additionally, you will provide legal training, empower team members to manage day-to-day legal tasks, and support the legal leadership in executing strategic priorities and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Draft, review, and maintain company-wide policies in accordance with applicable legal requirements and organisational governance standards
  • Review and negotiate partnership agreements with our partners in AMER
  • Be part of HR related projects & provide support for certain U.S. employment and labor law topics

Requirements

  • Ability to analyze the needs of different parties quickly and provide a creative solution
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and take ownership of matters end-to-end, while operating effectively within a broader legal team structure
  • Monitor and assess developments in applicable laws and regulations, advising the business on emerging legal risks and required adaptations to agreements, policies, or operational practices
  • Excellent drafting and negotiation skills, with high attention to detail and the ability to manage a high volume of contracts under tight deadlines
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships with internal stakeholders including sales, finance, HR, and product teams
  • Interested in learning fast and participating in a wide variety of legal projects
  • Skilled in providing concise legal advice to business teams
  • Understands and perform in complex legal and business processes
  • Enthusiasm for building and improving existing processes
  • Good organizational skills & well structured to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrates AI literacy, with the ability to leverage AI tools to enhance productivity, decision-making, and quality of work while applying sound judgment and critical thinking
  • Takes initiative and brings a sense of accountability in the workplace -proactive, resourceful, and solution-oriented
  • Overcomes challenges through teamwork, optimism, and just enough humor to keep the legal team exciting (without compromising professionalism of course)

  • Law Degree and Bar Admission to at least one jurisdiction in the U.S.
  • 3+ years of experience with a primary focus on drafting, redlining, and negotiating sales contracts.
  • Prior negotiation experience with complex corporate agreements
  • Strong understanding of commercial contracting with deep expertise in sales contracts and legal processes
  • Broad and in-depth specialized knowledge of AMER legal framework plus some knowledge of EMEA and APAC topics would be preferred

Compensation

  • At Storyblok, we are committed to equitable compensation and pay transparency.
  • We consider many factors when it comes to compensation, such as the scope of the role, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
  • Our base salary ranges are determined by job and job level and are benchmarked to relevant location and industry data.
  • The range displayed represents the target US base compensation range within which we are hiring for this role.
  • For some roles Storyblok also offers a competitive commission structure.
  • $69,530 - $113,000
