Responsibilities

  • Maintain safe and clean work environment in accordance with the Sika Housekeeping policy.
  • Ensure implementation and evolution of safety guidelines and procedures. Participates in safety meetings, safety‐related training, coaches safety guidelines, supports accident investigations, and teaches compliance with safety regulations and programs.
  • Overall responsibilities to design, implement, and maintain Quality Policy program to establish quality goals and objectives.
  • Actively promote, through own action and attitude, a positive a continuous improvement culture.
  • Direct responsibility to manage the Marion Quality Department.
  • Create a challenging and motivating culture in the plant.
  • Establish and meet local budgets and operational goals and objectives through balanced scorecards. Help to implement strategy, processes and activities related to capital budgeting and plan implementation for the Quality department.
  • Support new product and raw-material launches, scale-up, and validation of products as well as optimization of products in compliance with the PCP process.
  • Troubleshoot quality problems and establish root cause analysis to develop the implementation and check the sustainability of the appropriate corrective action.

Requirements

  • Provide local site management with technical assistance required to formulate new or revised quality control procedures and systems.

Nice to have

  • Bachelor's degree in chemistry, Chemical Engineering or related majors as required, advanced degree is a plus.
