About the role
- The Mental Health Therapist provides comprehensive, client-centered behavioral health services to individuals, families, and groups.
- Conduct initial diagnostic assessments, biopsychosocial evaluations, and risk assessments.
Responsibilities
- Develop individualized treatment plans using person-centered, culturally responsive care.
- Maintain accurate, timely, and clinically sound documentation in the EHR.
- Provide referral, linkage, and advocacy support to help clients access needed services.
- Client Support & Engagement
- Build therapeutic rapport using a strengths-based, trauma-informed approach.
- Assist families in understanding diagnosis, treatment goals, and how to support the client.
- This role focuses on assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and evidence-based interventions to support emotional regulation, coping skills, symptom reduction, and overall well-being.
- The therapist collaborates with internal team members and external community partners to ensure continuity of care and supports each client's recovery goals.
Requirements
- Knowledge of evidence-based therapeutic models and trauma-informed care.
- Ability to pass background checks and meet credentialing requirements.
- Experience working with children, adolescents, or families.
- Experience with community-based services (CPST, TBS, school-based therapy).
- Required
- Master's or bachelor's degree in social work, Counseling, or a related behavioral health field.
- LSW, LPC, or higher (LISW, LPCC).
- Strong clinical writing and documentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
